LATIFA, 1936, William Fife III

At the beginning of the global pandemic LATIFA paused a long-range cruise and returned to Rockport Marine for a systems refit, interior joinery, cosmetics upgrade, and a rig inspection.

LATIFA made good avail of our fabrication capabilities and experience stylistically matching joinery to the Fife’s interior. In LATIFA’s small engine room we were able to install new twin Nanni diesels effectively doubling the yachts horsepower and adding meaningfully to the potential motoring speed. All engine room systems were refit with ease of access and safety at sea in mind.

We are honored to work on this yacht which understandably William Fife III considered his finest work.
