Rockport Marine is honored to have two yachts nominated for Classic Boat Magazine’s 2016 Awards. Both ARABESQUE and NASHUA are nominated in the category of “Spirit of Tradition over 40 feet.” You decide which of these beautiful yachts deserves the title most.

ARABESQUE is a 50-foot custom sloop from the drawing board of Fontaine Design Group. She has a cold-molded wooden hull, teak-over-plywood deck and wooden cabin and cockpit structures. We’re particularly proud of the custom stainless steel hardware we fabricated for ARABESQUE, as well as her systems including fully push-button sail handling that makes single handing this 18 ½ ton sloop a cinch. Her twin headsail rig keeps a large genoa ready at the push of a button for the light air days on her home waters of Long Island Sound.

NASHUA is the fourth W.46 racing yacht to be built at Rockport Marine. A cold-molded wooden hull with teak-over-plywood deck, NASHUA has a simple and elegant interior trimmed in cherry. She carries a beautiful laminated teak wheel and a striking ebony inlay on her sole. NASHUA’s Spirit of Tradition design is from Bob Stephens. She’s already proven herself to be a winning yacht following her first summer of regattas.
