SOPHIA, a Spirit of Tradition design, is a 70′ ocean-going cruiser/racer. The Rockport Marine design office conceived of a comfortable, two-stateroom boat that evokes the lines and character of some of Olin Stephens most elegant Class-A yawls such as BARUNA and BOLERO. SOPHIA’s hull is coldmolded to sturdy specs, capable of offshore cruising. Her spar is carbon, she has composite decks with a teak overlay and her interior has Herreshoff style, raised-panel fit and finish. The design for SOPHIA is now available for construction at Rockport Marine.
