Legend is a 37’ wood sportfishing boat built by the Rybovich yard in West Palm Beach Florida.  She is Hull #2 from the famed south Florida builders and the oldest in existence.  Legend was designed in house and delivered under the name Clari -Jo in 1949.

Commercial fishing and its associated craft existed, but Rybovich were the first to produce pleasure craft specifically designed to go off shore to the Gulfstream and Bahamas in pursuit of large gamefish.  The boats we’re revolutionary at the time and essential to the creation of the modern sport fishing industry.

Legend went back to the yard where she was built for an extensive refit in 1989-1990.  Significant structural work was done in preparation and then the hull was glassed over.  Her current owner has had boat since 2009 and continued to maintain her with the Rybovich yard, installing 330 Cummins in 2016.  The long term ownership and consistency of maintenance really shows.  Legend is immaculate.

Her current owner still cruises and fishes her regularly from his South Florida home.  Legend is in that respect a perfect practical classic.  She looks absolutely stunning, has a unique history and incredible pedigree and is as ready for cruising and sport fishing as the day she was splashed.
