63′ William Hand Motorsailer
$799,000
This 80-year-old classic 63 foot William Hand designed motorsailer is in excellent condition, having undergone a complete renovation between 2007 and 2010. Originally built in 1933 by Hodgdon Brothers of East Boothbay, Maine. Planked with long leaf yellow pine on oak frames with oak stem, keel, and floor timbers. Her wheelhouse, skylights, companionways and cabin posts are teak as is the double-planked transom. The interior of the wheelhouse is sheathed in varnished teak and the fact that she is a Hodgdon boat contributes to her longevity. She is in impeccable condition and professionally maintained by Strout’s Point Wharf Company.
She sleeps up to ten people comfortably and quietly. At full speed the engine is more a rumble than a roar. She has wide unencumbered teak decks and is built to take to sea for a smooth and sea-kindly motion.
