48′ Murray Peterson Coastal Cruiser

North Star is a shining example of Murray Peterson’s Coastal Cruiser design. Built in Camden, ME the boat underwent a significant rebuild in 2002. The current owner purchased the boat in 2003 and has provided North Star with excellent annual care. A 2017 Paul Haley survey is available upon request.

North Star is in Falmouth, MA available for viewing.

Topsides: Carvel Planked Mahogany

Decks: Caulked and laid teak

Keel: Full keel of oak with iron ballast

All keel bolts replaced with Monel in 2002 and 2003.

Deck Layout: Two deck houses over the main and forward cabins, each with two bronze openings, and separated by a bridge deck over the midships engine room. The two deck house roofs are sheathed in Dynal. The forward cabin has a butterfly opening skylight.
