Tally Ho is a beautifully built and maintained Buzzards Bay 14. This design is based on the Herreshoff 12 1/2 and updated by his son L. Francis Herreshoff. The Buzzard Bay 14 is larger with increased storage capacity. These boats are known for their looks and ease of sail – they’re fast, comfortable and relatively dry as they were designed for the infamously choppy Buzzards Bay.
Tally Ho recently received a new coat of varnish and has been well loved over the past 15 years. She was built at Welling Boat Yard in 1991 and finished at Cove Landing Marine in Old Lyme, CT. Five years ago she underwent a refit at Taylor and Snediker in Stonington, CT in an effort to bring her rig into a more authentic set up.
