The Rockport Marine brokerage is designed to better serve the yard’s customers while encouraging wooden boat stewardship. Our goal is superior customer service throughout a client’s brokerage experience. We look forward to working with you and appreciate your interest in this firm.
Individuals interested in listing with the brokerage are required to submit a recent marine survey (boats over 19′), photos of the boat taken within the past 6 months that are at least 640 x 480 pixels and a summary of known upcoming maintenance.
Honest presentation of a boat facilitates timely, informed sales. Prospective buyers are more likely to travel for a viewing if they have reviewed a comprehensive survey and are familiar with a boats condition. This attention to detail makes us unique in the yacht sales industry. We’re happy to refer owners and buyers to knowledgeable surveyors for pre-listing or pre-purchase assessments.
Evelyn Smith runs the brokerage with support from RMI shipwrights and project managers. She is best reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or (207) 236-9651.
Evelyn has been on and around boats all of her life. With a family filled with boat builders, captains, sail makers and ocean enthusiasts, the path to sailing was set early on. From the ages of 8 to 18, she spent summers sailing Turnabouts, performance dinghies and J24’s out of Cozy Harbor on Southport Island. A winter spent between a Whitby 42 in the Bahamas and a 60′ Nielsen sloop in the Caribbean inspired interest in living and working aboard boats. After graduating from College of the Atlantic in 2011, Evelyn spent two years working as yacht crew. Today, she is happy to be ashore, running the RMI brokerage. Evelyn’s free time is spent outside with her husband, their dog and friends.
